PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
The meshing of metal gears subjects the gear tooth surfaces to high pressures and impact.
Your Toyota knows that lubricants and fluids are its lifeblood. Using the wrong ones can dramatically affect its lifespan and performance. Your Service Advisor can advise you on the products best suited to your model. You see, your Toyota Service Centre does a lot more than just servicing.
GEAR OIL
Function of Gear oil: The meshing of metal gears subjects the gear tooth surfaces to high pressures and impact. Gear oil forms an oil film and special coating on the tooth surfaces to reduce the pressure and impact to prevent gear wear and seizure. It also protects the tooth surface from rusting.
Lubrication
Gear oil forms an oil film and special coating on the gear tooth meshing surfaces to prevent direct contact of the gear teeth to prevent wear and seizure.
Impact Absorption
The action of the special extreme pressure additive absorbs shock and smoothes out power transmission even when a large force is applied to the gear tooth surfaces.
Heat Dissipation
Gear oil dissipates the heat of friction generated under the various usage conditions, such as frequent gear changes, continuous high-speed driving, and high-load driving.
Rust Prevention
Gear oil prevents the occurrence of rust on lubricated parts and protects the gear tooth surfaces.
